Peppermint Mocha Latte

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Cue the nostalgia that only the holiday season can bring. Now, what is more, festive than a hot cup of cocoa after tobogganing outside until your cheeks are numb? #canadianthings. Well, the grownup version of course! Say hello to a piping hot peppermint mocha made with Two Bears Unsweetened Oat making this recipe dairy-free.

A typical peppermint mocha from a coffee shop is loaded with so much sugar that drinking too many could land you on the naughty list! Not to worry, we are convinced that this healthy dairy-free version made with plant alternatives and sweetened with maple syrup will taste just as good-- and it is SO easy to make. 

Now, time to cuddle up and cheers to the season ahead. Here is how you make this yummy Peppermint Mocha Latte!

I N G R E D I E N T S:
1 shot of espresso, we used Two Bears Country House Blend
1 tbsp cocoa powder 
1 tbsp maple syrup can sub. with honey, agave, or whatever you have on hand
1/8 tsp peppermint extract 
Optional topping: crushed candy canes
I N S T R U C T I O N S:
* In a mug, whisk together the hot espresso (or brewed coffee), cocoa powder, maple syrup and peppermint extract.
* Pour your Two Bears Unsweetened Oat over top.
