20 OUNCE FRENCH PRESS

25 GRAMS OF COFFEE

WATER BOILED TO 96 °C

THE BEAR NECESSITIES

STEP 1: HEAT UP 

Preheat French Press with hot water.

STEP 3: ADD WATER

Empty your preheated French Press and add your ground coffee. Start your timer and immediately add hot water to the halfway point,  making sure you saturate all the grounds.

STEP 2:  GET GRINDING

Measure 25 grams  of Two Bears coffee and grind it to a medium-coarse setting.

STEP 4: STIR

At the 1 minute mark stir to break the crust (top layer of coffee) with your spoon or paddle. 

STEP 5: ADD MORE WATER

Fill the french press to the top (375 grams total weight), put the cover on and let the coffee brew. DON'T PRESS DOWN THE FILTER YET! 

STEP 6: PLUNGE

At 4 minute mark, push down filter slowly and evenly.

STEP 7: POUR & ENJOY

Pour all the coffee into your serving vessel. If you leave it in the French Press you will over-extract the grounds.
